The Six Flags Old Guy Dance Commercial is Back — And Jumped the Damn Shark
Posted by admin in TV, TV Commercials on June 30th, 2009
The old dude who looks like Junior Soprano is back.

Anyway, the first set of commercials that came out were entertaining. A feeble old man who caught a groove and got it in with his silly dancing.
Now, the guy who does the six flags commercials just jumped the damn shark. He/she (I think I read it was a woman under the makeup, or something.) is now TALKING in the commercials. It just doesn’t fit. Ok, boooooooooo…
See for yourself.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 Splitting Up - Jon’s Fault? Kate’s Fault?
Posted by admin in Jon and Kate Plus 8, TV, TV Shows on June 23rd, 2009
I was thinking as I watched the special about Jon and Kate splitting up. What the hell was going on in their relationship? Where did it go wrong? Jon wouldn’t say shit about what was really bothering him in regards to Kate. Yeah, Kate was acting like a bitch, and took control and just ran shit, reducing Jon to a beta male (a passive, weak man) , which probably turned Kate off, but why didn’t Jon take control of things and “man-up” to Kate? Was Jon really into her? Kate said Jon would open up with brief windows into his thoughts, and then clam up. Hmmmmm. Where was the communication? It seems like he just didn’t give a shit and kept his mouth shut, and let this disaster happen. He just wanted out. I don’t think Jon had ANY interest in saving the relationship, but, I think Kate wanted to keep things intact. I bet Kate was willing to try and work things out, but Jon wants to take his money, drive his car, and bang chicks. They got married young. Jon probably missed out on that stage when you are in your 20’s, acting an ass, drinking, banging chicks, and doing the college thing. I think he wants to live that life, and probably just started hating Kate’s naggy ass.
I have a feeling we will see Jon wylin’ out soon…That dude is gonna be off the No Worry, Beef Curry with a pocket full of money…He is not going to live a ‘quiet’, ‘chill’ lifestyle…This will be fun to watch!

Update: I was right. My theory may be on-point. Kate: Jon’s The One Who Wanted Out
Healthy Fruit Smoothie Recipe
Posted by admin in Drinks, Food, Healthy Drinking, Healthy Eating on June 22nd, 2009
Here are the ingredients for a fruit smoothie I made this morning:
1 cup organic frozen strawberries
1 cup of organic frozen blueberries
1 cup of 1% organic milk
4 packets of Truvia (Stevia)
233 Calories
26% (7 grams) of Daily Recommended Fiber Intake
4 Servings of Fruit
I consider the above a healthy fruit smoothie. The calories are low and you get a quarter of your recommended daily fiber intake. The only problem is I might have to add more milk - If you don’t drink the smoothie quick enough, it ‘gels up’. The above could be healthier if I added a protein powder to the smoothie. That will be my next move. I will find a sugar-free protein powder and see how it turns out.
But I have to say, the smoothie turned out very tasty and satisfying…
Ingredients For a Fruit Smoothie - Strawberries and Blueberries to Start
Posted by admin in Food, Healthy Eating on June 20th, 2009
I have been trying to increase my fruit intake, lately. My lady wants to make sure I eat plenty of fruits and veggies, and I decided to go with the convenience of eating smoothies, to start. So far, I have gotten into these ingredients for a fruit smoothie: Blueberries, strawberries, 1% milk, and Truvia, a natural sweetener.
So far, so good. I really like the Truvia in the smoothies, as it doesn’t have a bitter taste. It helps bring the sweetness out without the extra calories. (Truvia is a zero calorie, NATURAL sweetener made from the Stevia plant - My latest choice as I try to get away from Splenda!)
I like rocking the blueberries because of the high level of antioxidants and supposed anti-aging properties. I don’t like eating blueberries by themselves, so throwing them into a blender makes eating them easier. And strawberries are a great source of antioxidants, so I figured that would be a nice combo.
I am going to try adding a banana to the blueberries and strawberries next to add a healthy potassium boost.
Oh, and let me just say - I don’t believe in bullshit smoothies like Jamba Juice, Smoothie King or Robeks. Too much damn sugar! I like the fact I can control what goes into the smoothie when making them at home…
Jon and Kate Divorce Rumor
Posted by admin in Jon and Kate Plus 8, TV, TV Shows on June 19th, 2009
Here we go…Jon and Kate have a special next Monday where they are going to have a special announcement. There is a rumor going around they are going to announce a divorce. I will be pissed/laugh like hell if they swerve us all with some nonsense announcement. Sad to say, I will be watching this. HA!

The Dreamie? Was I Dreaming??
Posted by admin in TV Commercials on June 18th, 2009
I swear I saw a commercial last night that made the Snuggie and the Slanket look like brilliant inventions. The Dreamie. It was like two sheets sown together with a built in compartment that holds a pillow.
The Dreamie aims to solve the problem of making a couch with no sleeping materials more comfortable. Instead of dragging sheets and a pillow off the bed, you can use this brilliant invention to put right on your couch, with quickness, to escape from your snoring partner in bed.
Like the Snuggie, The Dreamie can be used in various situations - Like sleepovers. Instead of a sleeping bag, you rock a Dreamie!
I need to see the commercial again, to be honest. This commercial must be brand new, because there is NOTHING in the search engines, and NOTHING on YouTube. I NEED to see this again!
Anyway, I am interested to see if this thing catches on like the Snuggie…HA!
Healthy Snack? Arnold Select Sandwich Thins - Seedless Rye
I was shopping for sandwich bread, excited to make a Dagwood sandwich for dinner, and I came across Arnold Select Sandwich Thins.
I copped the seedless rye. It looks promising. Thin, 100% whole wheat, 100 calories a serving and 5 grams of fiber. (20% of recommended daily intake.)
See, I am down for any kind of bread that can boost my fiber intake, while being low in calories, and THIN. I am not a thick bread kind of cat. And even better, the bread is supposedly pretty good for grilling an toasting. And a hot, grilled sandwich is the truth.
Anyway, I made my first sandwich on some simple shit - Salmon burgers and grapeseed oil, vegetarian mayonnaise. I grilled the bread in the pan with my salmon burgers and kept it quick and simple. I think a jailhouse iron would have been just as good as the job I did, in regards to grilling the bread. HA!
Bottom line is, this was a quick and dirty attempt to make a sandwich, and it came out ok. I wasn’t putting any heart into hooking it up, and the salmon and mayonnaise angle may not have done this bread justice.
I need to try something more classic - Like a ham and cheese, grilled on the Foreman grill. THAT might be a test worth checking out!
Seapoint Farms Dry Roasted Edamame

My latest find in Whole Foods?
![]()
These joints ARE THE TRUTH. This is a tasty, yet healthy snack — a 1/4 cup serving has 7 grams of fiber, or 30% of your daily recommended intake and 14 grams of protein, or 28% of your daily protein intake requirements.
The only thing is, I am waiting for someone to ruin my healthy snack food buzz — You know, someone hollerin’ about, “edamame and testosterone” and “the side effects of edamame“.
I say that because of the whole thing about soy and supposed side-effects for men. Oh well, I am just going to enjoy and hope I don’t start growing tits. HA!
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I am enjoying the Wasabi flavored edamame, too.
Jon Gosselin No Longer on Show?
Posted by admin in Jon and Kate Plus 8, TV Shows on June 4th, 2009
Not yet — When pressed about whether he felt his kids were exploited, People Magazine says, “Jon insists his children’s happiness will remain his focus – even if keeping them happy means quitting the show. ”
Well, uhhhhh, quit the show maybe? Write a book or something about how much a bitch Kate has been to him and make some $$$$$$. Then again, that $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, or whatever they are being paid per episode must be too tempting.
No worry, beef curry!
What Happened to MC Ren? Who Cares! His Old Shit Was SICK!
Posted by admin in Music, Rap/Hip Hop on June 4th, 2009
And no, I am not talking about his days in NWA. I am talking about when he went solo. Cats used to say I was off when I swore that Shock of the Hour was tight. I re-listened today…Man, what a solid album. Tight lyrics, as expected by MC Ren and great production. Sure, Ren could rap nasty as hell on one track, then be a serious ass cat the next track, but I don’t care.
I wonder if there is ever a chance of a REAL NWA reunion? Not that B.S. they did before. The thing is I am not sure a NWA reunion would be worth it - But it won’t happen…Dre trying to be perfect would keep an album on the shelves…But I digress…
