Seapoint Farms Dry Roasted Edamame

My latest find in Whole Foods?

These joints ARE THE TRUTH. This is a tasty, yet healthy snack — a 1/4 cup serving has 7 grams of fiber, or 30% of your daily recommended intake and 14 grams of protein, or 28% of your daily protein intake requirements.

The only thing is, I am waiting for someone to ruin my healthy snack food buzz — You know, someone hollerin’ about, “edamame and testosterone” and “the side effects of edamame“.

I say that because of the whole thing about soy and supposed side-effects for men. Oh well, I am just going to enjoy and hope I don’t start growing tits. HA!

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I am enjoying the Wasabi flavored edamame, too.

Whole Foods Frozen Food Winner: Tuna Burgers

These tuna burgers are the TRUTH.

They are easy to make, healthy and taste good!  I either put them on the grill, or put them on the stove and sear them with some grape seed oil.  I usually eat them on a whole grain potato roll, or lately, in a whole wheat wrap.  When I eat them on a potato roll, I add some healthy grape seed oil vegetarian mayonnaise. (Yeah, two mentions for grape seed oil — gotta get the grape seed oil health benefits.)  Today, I cut up the tuna burgers and put them in a whole wheat wrap with tomato, bean sprouts, and wasabi salad dressing.  Yeah, I know the bean sprouts sound kind of weird in the mix, but I love the crunch of bean sprouts.  Anyway, can’t help kissing Whole Foods’ ass.  I have no problem spending extra to get the kind of goodness they sell.
