The children are adorable. I wish only good things for them. At times I think Kate had nine children instead of eight. Jon could not seem to ever see things that needed to be done without being told so Kate told him as you would a teenager. It is just so sad. While watching the show Monday, I was disappointed everytime Jon said, "I am only 32 years old." As a Christian I am reminded that the Bible teaches that a man is to love his wife just like Christ loves his bride (the church). Jesusloved us so much that at the young age of 33, Jesus unselfishly gave his life for us on the cross. The Bible also teaches that in a marriage the couple should put each other first, Their relationship is even more important than the relationship between parent and child. A loving, healthy relationship between a husband and wife will naturally spill over to healthy and happy children. I wish this family could be restored. There is nothing more romantic than a family that is restored. They are certainly in my prayers. It is sad to see this precious family split. In episodes he never seemed to want to teach or work with the children in way. It was all about him and if he couldn't be the center of attention, he through a fit or would argue with Kate. I remember when he took the boys golfing with him. Wow, did he actually show them anything or give them attention..no! Took them home and made them shag golf balls for him. At least Kate was always trying to help them learn and grow from experiences. Though, I will say she better get to her local Y and learn to swim and learn to get dirty with the kids instead of being a prima donna. This idea of life is just about pedicures and spas is a rather shallow ideal for the girls. I can't believe he walked away from his family..what a selfish, narsisstic, shallow, prick of man...and he will get his someday whenn the kids are old enough to watch the shows and see what he really was all about!!
